Here I am as a kid, with my little sister, Pamela. That’s Niagara Falls in the background. I’m not sure when this was taken, but I guess it was while we lived in Buffalo, New York. That would make it 4th or 5th grade. Pamela and I were very close. On long car trips, I would tell her stories I had read in books—myths and legends and tales from the Arabian Nights. I also liked to tickle her.
